What's been a rarity this racing season. 2 straight nights with weather not being a factor! The United Racing Club was back in action for night two of a double header weekend with the final trip of 2025 to the state of New Jersey and the Bridgeport Motorsports park. As it’s been the norm all season long. A different driver in victory lane. This time its an old friend of URC as “No Panic” Davey Franek of Sussex,NJ wins his first URC feature since the series debut on the new configuration in 2020.
14 Cars signed in for the second straight night. Bernville,PA’s Hayden Miller and Harding,PA’s Jordan Thomas would share the front row. Thomas was looking to keep momentum rolling after picking up the ESS win Friday night at The Outlaw Speedway in New York. Miller would get the early jump on Thomas. It didn't take Franek long to get up into the second spot around Thomas. Hilltown,PA’s Adam Carberry would then make his way around Thomas for the third spot. Franek closed the gap on Miller. Next Lap Franek would get the run on Miller and pull the slider on Miller off of turn two for the lead. Then Chase Moran’s Weekend would come to a disappointing end with him ending up in the turn 2 wall and on the hook.
Franek would time the restart perfectly to get away from Miller. Carberry would get around Miller. Washington Crossing,PA’s Mikey Thompson would take the third spot away from Miller. But up front Davie Franek was not to be stopped as he takes home career win sweet 16th with the United Racing Club .Carberry,Thompson, Miller and in his URC debut Scranton,PA’s Mike Smith rounded out the top 5.
“ When you were able to run someone down at this place they’re just sitting ducks.” Franek said in victory lane “ Miller was running at a great pace. He made a little mistake in two and I capitalized on it. The track was fun tonight and didn't touch the tires at all. When you come to and live in Jersey you have to go and do it and that's what we did tonight.”
The United Racing Club 2025 season comes to a close in three weeks as The Selinsgrove Speedway will host the final night of URC with the rescheduled Kramer Kup for $3,073 to win on Friday October 10th.
