Hodnett Picks up the 10th Annual Lelands.com 360 Summer Nationals

Greg Hodnett in the Heffner Enterprises #27 picked up the highest paying United Racing Club event to date picking up the win from the 5th starting position. Robbie Stillwaggon in the 89 Quality Auto body with Kevin Nouse making an appearance in the 21 Scott McClaren owned 360 sprint car lead the field of 24 to the green flag. The event needed multiple attempts to complete lap number 1 as the #4 starter Mark Smith in his M1 Mach 1 Chassis entry was involved in both incidents and had to restart from the rear of the field with a new right rear tire.

Once the feature got rolling what a feature it was with Stillwaggon taking the lead from the initial green flag. A lap 10 caution bunched up the field again with Stillwaggon leading, Hodnett in 2nd, The 8 time URC Champion Curt Michael in 3rd, Kevin Nouse in the McClaren #21 in 4th and all the way from New York, Justin Barger rounding out the top 5. Hodnett only needed 1 lap to wrestle control of the lead from early race leader Stillwaggon. With 10 to go and Hodnett out front Mark Smith made an appearance in the top 5 after starting 24th. When the checkered flags were dropped Hodnett had a commanding lead over runner up Curt Michael, 3rd place Kevin Nouse, 4th place Robbie Stillwaggon and 5th place Mark Smith.

With 36 cars signed into the pits, 4 heat races were needed with heat race wins going to Mark Smith, Justin Barger, Kevin Nouse, and Robbie Stillwaggon. The B-Main was won by the 25 of Josh Weller who was involved in a tense heat race battle with Aaron Ott and 2014 URC Champion Davie Franek. Running WRT Speedwerx Decals, Stillwaggon was the only driver to receive a free 8X10 for winning his heat race.

The United Racing Club teams have just enough time to wash their cars before heading to Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday August 1st and the 2nd Annual Kramer Cup event. The night is kicked off by a 4pm parade through the streets of Selinsgrove. Race time is 7:30pm.
