URC Returns to Action Tuesday June 14th at New Egypt Speedway

Tuesday night June 14th, the United Racing Club will invade the New Egypt Speedway for the annual Turnpike 25 event promoted by Brett Deyo. Coming off of an off weekend the United Racing Club teams will be chomping at the bit to get back on the track.

Points leader Davie Franek spent his off weekend racing with the Empire Super Sprints at the Utica Rome Speedway on Sunday night. Franek who has lead the points from the start of the season will be looking to continue his success at the New Jersey facility. Second place points Robbie Stillwaggon spent the off weekend helping out his crew chief and brother Ryan with his 305 sprint car with the TSRS series' visit to New Egypt Speedway. Stillwaggon and Franek are the only 2 URC regulars to compete at New Egypt Speedway earlier this year when the World of Outlaws 410 series was in town. The will find out if that experience can translate to a feature win tomorrow night.

The mid week show is expected to draw a large crowd of 360 sprint cars. Expected to be in attendance along with Franek and Stillwaggon will be Curt Michael, Josh Weller, Mark Bitner, Ed Aikin, Mike Haggenbottom, Mark Smith, and Greg Hodentt. The who's who of the 360 crowd will all be gunning for the $2,000 to win prize money.

The 2016 URC rookie crop is the strongest its been in years with Brett Michalski, Adam Carberry, Justin Whittall and Mark Sasso all doing very well with Carberry and Sasso in the top 10 in URC points.

The United Racing Club will then be back in action on Friday night June 17th at the Big Diamond Speedway. Last year's race saw local driver Josh Weller in victory lane followed by a couple of New York invaders of Justin Barger and Joe Trenca.

Tuesday nights event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. Grandstand gates are unlocked at 4 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6 p.m. Racing is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m.

Adult admission is $30. Seniors (ages 65 and over) and Military with ID pay $24. Students ages 12-15 are $12 and Kids 11 and under are FREE.
